Hi, my name is Alana Patu, co-founder of The Patu Foundation. This foundation and its mission came about because of the passionate commitment my husband, Saul, and I have to the well-being of America’s youth. In particular, we find it impossible not to notice the overlooked potential of troubled youths in the community where we live, and in the communities where we grew up. In our youth, some very special people came together to put each of us on a productive path in life, leaving us with an overwhelming wish to return the favor. To that end, we started a non-profit private family foundation steadfastly committed to “Empower, aid and educate youth to thrive in their family, education and community. To endorse values that promote healthy and sound decisions.”

Through the foundation, we provide effective outreach and intervention programs and community activities that reflect our mission to at-risk kids from elementary through high school age. Four programs are already up and running and we encourage you to give them a thorough look on our website. The small start of our local efforts here in Denver has already made a big impact on a lucky few. Our goal at this point is to spread that impact further by creating an entire community that shares our passion, commitment and optimism that the kids touched by The Patu Foundation will grow into productive, responsible adults ready to make a similar difference on their own.

Along with your contribution you will receive a monthly newsletter describing the things we are doing and the lives that are being impacted. Our monthly giving levels are:

Infant: $10/month
Toddler: $20/month
Teenager: $50/month
Parent: $75/month
Grandparent: $100+/month
