Nov. 16, 2006 -- The Patu Foundation Kickoff Event was held at 5 Degrees in Denver and featured a live auction run by Marc Stout, live jazz, raffles and appearances by Crush players and Crush Girls.
There was a great turnout for the event and the foundation was able to raise money for its youth intervention programs while getting its name and mission out to the public.
All the support from those who attended, volunteered and donated is greatly appreciated. Your support will play a key role in the development of the foundation programs and in the lives of at-risk youth in the community.
The launch of La La's Lunch Buddies Program was a success. This event took center stage at North East Denver's
Ford Elementry. The school was randomly chosen by the Patu Foundation as it's first site for the program.
There to kick-off
La La's Lunch Buddies were Colorado Crush players:
John Dutton - QB
Chris Berg - OL/DL
Hugh Hunter - OL/DL
Chris Watton - OL/DL
Saul Patu - FB/LB
The student's chosen to participate in this exciting program were the 4th & 5th grade students. They were excited to learn they were going
to have the opportunity to earn a lunch buddy through the school year as they enjoyed their lunch time
with lunch buddies from the Colorado Crush.
